Peace Lily

SPATHIPHYLLUM

Peace Lilies are known for their glossy leaves and striking white flowers. Often used as sympathy plants for funerals, they symbolize remembrance, comfort, and of course—peace.

As long as they’re getting proper water and light, these plants actually can be low-maintenance and bloom year-round.

  • 65-85°F

  • 50-60%+

  • Low to medium. A window with partial shade is good.

  • This is where people go wrong.
Peace lilies are thirsty, all the time.

Self-watering pots are a must, something that keeps them moist without being soggy

  • Moisture-retentive but well-draining

Recommendations: Regular potting soil, pumice, perlite, bark, worm castings

  • Don’t throw away at first sign of stress: These plants are labeled as dramatic, because you will absolutely know when they need water. Their leaves droop and shrivel when they aren’t getting enough, but they bounce back beautifully after. The trick is learning to water before your lily gets to the point of drama.
