String of’s are all succulents, but they deserve their own guide because their care is so specialized. They’re all trailing plants and are good for hanging pots, creating a beautiful cascade when they grow long.

  • 65-85°F

  • Low

  • Bright, overhead direct.

    Direct morning light is good

  • Bottom watering only, once a month

  • Gritty, well-draining with some moisture retention

    Recommendations: Black Gold Cactus Soil, pumice, zeolite, chicken grit, lava rock, bark,

  • None of these plants do well when watered from the top, but they do need sunlight from the top

    My secret is using self-watering pots but leaving them dry unless it’s watering day (example with orange pot inside clear pot above).
